Regular readers of these news items will remember that Marlow residents and their friends have raised very significant funds for the work of AwF over the past two years (sponsored dragon boat racing in 2005 and 2006 and a street party in 2006).

2007 is no exception.

1. A sponsored crew from the 'Prince of Wales' will be entering the dragon boat race on the Thames in this pretty town on the regatta family day on June 17. Some British Airways staff will be members of the crew too. Come and join and support them all if you live nearby!!

2. Having enjoyed last year's street party, the residents of South Place, Marlow have not only decided to repeat the event on 14 July this year but to adopt AwF! This event was an extremely successful fund raiser for AwF last year. If you live anywhere near the area and want to join us, tickets are available (£20 for adults and £15 for children and seniors) from AwF trustee Sophie Varley (sophie.varley@btinternet.com).
